When I attended Anthrocon 2004, I got to met the ever so lovely Melissa O'Brien, aka Frisket . Since she's some awesome with canine characters, I had her to draw a sketch of my wolf guy Bai Ming. Since I just graduated from teh Digital Animation class and I learned a lot about colouring in digital forms (majorly Photoshop), I thought I should start putting this to good use. My greatest inspiration in the colouring style is the production arts of the Xbox RPG game, Jade Empire. I couldn't help but fall in love with the soft feel of these digital paintings.
And yes, I notified her about me doing a digital paint upon the sketch she did and I'll notify her the completion of this as soon as I am done this message.
Thanks! I am pretty pleased with this one too, consider that i never went to artschools other than my 2D animation and 3D animation courses, I suppose I did a pretty good job here. Though I wished I took artschools before heading to these two programs, I may not struggle to find a job this badly now.
Whoa, this is fantastic! Having him drawn in Frisket's style is neat, and the coloring you've added REALLY bring out the character and the scene in this. Bravo ^_^
(hey, I didn't know she was at AC last year! )
This turned out so friggin' awesome. Took me a double take to realize it was my sketch under all that.. My lord you did a fantastic job... C_c; Can I adopt you as my offical colorer sometime?
Would it be possible if I uploaded this to my gallery too? (All credit given of course)... Wow. Simply stunning. I'd love to learn painting tips from you. You've done a phenominal job, hon!
I'd be glad to do some colouring for you if the time allows. As for uploading this picture to your gallery, I'd be really honoured if you do so, afterall you did this really awesome sketch Bai and it is my inspiration to do this digi painting.

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
